During the 1990’s, my sister, Ann, and I were both redecorating our houses and traveled to North Carolina to shop for furniture. We had a book with all the tips on saving money in the “furniture capital” and one of the ways was by having a retail license. One day we talked about what it would be like to have a business of our own and buy for ourselves at wholesale prices. Little did I know where God would be leading me with this idea.

We began trying to come up with a business name. My sister and I were adopted. We are as close as any sisters can be and we know that God meant for us to be sisters. Since my daughter, Rebecca, and I are also very close, and we know that all Christian women are sisters by faith (Matthew 12:50); we chose Sisters By Design.

All of us hope you like seeing what we have to offer in the store. Of course, we specialize in sister gifts,crosses and angels; many of these, and other gifts, are handmade by Mississippi artists. We offer a full bridal registry with fine china and crystal, hostess and bridesmaids gifts. Many of our products are exclusive to us and that makes gifts, for yourself, or others, unique and special.

God has truly blessed us and we are so grateful (Psalm 12:3). Not only are our families supportive of the store, they are very involved in the day to day activities and work with us whenever needed. There is no way we can thank them enough for their love, belief and patience. Without each of them, we couldn’t have made it.
